The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office recognizes that the hiring process is a key event in the operational effectiveness of any law enforcement agency. As a result, we are committed in our effort to actively recruit highly motivated, quality individuals for positions in law enforcement.  Interested persons enter a highly competitive selection process consisting of an oral interview board, rigorous background investigation, as well as physical and physiological testing.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 21 Years of Age
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Satisfactory Background Check
  • Satisfactory Credit History Check
  • Valid South Carolina Driver’s License
  • Physical and Psychological Screening
